What is CUP?

Coosa River Storage Annex Clean Up Project

The Coosa River Valley Recreation Board has asked the Cheaha Trail Riders, Inc. to spearhead a
Clean Up Project (CUP) at the Coosa River Storage Annex, sometimes called the Brecon Annex.
We were excited to head up this Clean Up Project on behalf of the Board and were
thrilled at the response . The clean up day was Saturday May 15, 2010 and we had over 100
volunteers who came to help with the project. All the volunteers left with a free
Cheaha Trail Riders hat and a free lunch .

The Coosa River Valley Recreation Board has adopted the City of Lincoln's National Park Service
plan for development. This plan encompasses many recreational venues for this property and
we hope everyone is excited about this development and all the jobs and revenue it will bring to
the area. We expect grant money to begin to flow in at any time to be used for
the development of the property. One grant has already been awarded.
The entrance road will be paved in the first project.

So keep an eye on this website for other volunteer days.
Directions to the property are also provided in the link listed above.
Thanks and we appreciate your interest in seeing the Coosa River Storage Annex
become a great park for all outdoor enthusiasts.
